I went to Top Tech to have them check a funny sound in my car, assuming this would be a quick process they have you sign a form stating they will provide you with an estimate and they would call me if anything was taking additional time diagnosing, before servicing anything, etc, I figured this would be a very simple diagnosis and they would call me with a cost to repair- instead, they did not call, I spent an entire day without a vehicle or any notice of what was going on after calling multiple times, to be told once I did reach them at 5pm, a tech is taking my car for a drive. The next morning I received a call basically stating that my car was fine and I was driving in the 2high and needed a bit of oil. without my approval) made it sound like it was no big deal. Part of the issue) I was able to remove as they did not install it yet- leaving my bill at $490. I was shocked that they would think it was ok to do any amount of labor yet alone over $200 in labor without ever calling me to let me know what I was looking at, or that things are taking longer then expected and it was going to cost me x amount. Had I known this visit was going to cost me over $200/ yet alone $500 I would of never gone there, and to have this all sprung on me without any estimates or a single call is extremely frustrating and unprofessional, and the lack of understanding or compassion, even after the guy said I should of received an estimate, is insane. Not to mention the sound I brought my car in for, is still happening. do not recommend. Would not give a single star if that was an option.
